  • “Developing Conversations with Your Music”
    • Approx. 45-60min long, requires one 5-octave marimba
    • Discussion revolves around a healthy, holistic approach to making musical decisions and treating your repertoire like a equal partner
    • Features excerpts from Bach’s Partita No. 3, Lansky’s Three Moves, and Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Caprichos de Goya
    • Presented by invitation at the “Percussion @ Penn State 2026” Festival, Conference, and Marimba Competition
    • Sample handout available in portfolio
  • Bach on Marimba: Developing an Informed Performance”
    • Approx. 30-60min long, requires one 4.5-octave marimba and one projector with HDMI or bluetooth connection
    • Originally designed to be presented to general academic professionals, but since adapted for a musical audience
    • Discussion centers on pre-existing research of Bach adaptations and transcriptions, variations in performance practice, use of ancillary gesture, and historical and cultural contexts
    • Features excerpts from Bach’s Partita No. 3 for Solo Violin
    • Presented at WCU’s 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Institute
    • Research available in portfolio

Suitable for summer camps, private lesson studios, community groups, in-school band classes, percussion classes, large group pull-out lessons, and more!

  • “‘Sound’ Sounds: Foundations for Well-Rounded Percussionists”
    • Approx. 45-60min long, requires a traditional ensemble percussion setup
    • Discussion focuses on fundamentals across keyboard percussion, snare drum, timpani, and auxiliary percussion
      • Key themes include skill stacking, aural awareness, and translating technical skills into musical ideas
    • Developed with and presented alongside Dr. Ralph Sorrentino
    • Locations include Lancaster Bible College Total Percussion Seminar (Lancaster, PA), Sun Valley High School (Aston, PA), and Battlefield High School (Haymarket, VA)
